Chloe Meets The Police

July 7, 2010

Haven’t you all been wondering about Soon-To-Be-Dead-Riley?  For a while there it seemed that her owner had wised up.  I ran into them twice and Riley was on-leash.  We exchanged pleasantries, the dogs played, all was right with the world.

Until Sunday.

Once again, Riley was off-leash.  Once again she crossed the street to play with Chloe.  It appears that Neighbor B, in fact, did not understand me.

I do not make threats lightly.  I called 911 on that yahoo.

Officer Easy-On-The-Eyes came down to take my statement.  And he posed for a picture with Chloe (in her finest Independence Day neckerchief).

Not the best photo but I was rushed!

Officer EOTE said he’d go speak with Neighbor B.  Maybe the law can accomplish what I cannot.  Let’s hope so.  STBDRiley is too good for her owner.

    There oughta be a law!

No, seriously: good for you for calling Officer EOTE. It’s always good to follow through with the lawless and those pesky teenagers.

my neighbors don’t all follow our leash laws either.
and hmmm, I don’t think police officers usually smile and pose for photos, maybe he thought YOU were EOTEs too. 🙂

The phrase “STBDRiley” cracks me up. Every time! Except that um, I had picked out “Riley” as a name for my next kitty. Am reconsidering that now.

Sooooo – what did you saaaaay to get Officer EOTE to pose for a pic? Ya know, just in case I ever run into a similar EOTE situation. 🙂

I just asked nicely if he would pose for a picture with my dog for my blog. He willingly obliged.

Am actively looking for other police-related issues so that I can call again…;)

Glad to be back, and glad to hear from you. Trying to check out EOTE ring finger…And ummm, is Miss Chloe OFF leash??? Is STBD’s owner another one of those drug addicts?? That is just craziness on a busy street in the city.

Chloe’s leash is coiled behind her. Officer EOTE could have stepped on it if she started to move.

STBDR’s dad isn’t a drug addict (I think), just plain old dumb. Debby, you must think I live right in the middle of The Wire! I promise, it’s a nice neighborhood overall. I just enjoy highlighting the more colorful aspects for the blog. You all would get bored watching my hydrangeas bloom. 😉

What a nice policeman to pose with Chloe. They both are so cute! What is it with firemen and policemen? There is never an ugly one!

I am waiting with baited (or is that bated?) breath for the next installment? Did Riley’s owner get a citation?

And how’s the hair coming along?

I don’t know exactly what happened to Riley’s owner. All I was told was that they would speak to him. 😦 But at least it’s on record somewhere.

I went back to the salon and she tweaked the color. I’m no longer Morticia, just a dark chocolate brown. Yay!
