Chloe Makes A Splash

September 3, 2010

Remember my friend Ridgely and her pup Quincy?

We got together last night for dinner and a puppy play date.  Ridgely’s husband took this picture of Chloe and Quincy while we were at the restaurant.

Quincy in his favorite spot, Chloe exploring (and sporting her festive Ravens neckerchief).

After dinner we hung out in the courtyard while the dogs ran around and played.  The Ridgelys have a raised koi pond in the yard with some decorative plants.  Chloe hopped up on the ledge and went round and round that koi pond sniffing for critters.

Then Ridgely’s husband decided to feed the fish.

Apparently fish food smells pretty good to a puppy.  Chloe cautiously lapped the water to get a taste.  Then she more enthusiastically licked the surface, stretching farther and farther to get each morsel.

You all know where I’m going with this, right?

Notice the soaking wet neckerchief. Once she fell in she decided to really explore the fountain and waterplants.

Next scene:

Chloe paying the piper. Ridgely doing puppy motion control in the tub, me manning the sprayer.

Once again, it’s a good thing she’s so darn cute.

So cute. They can get away with a lot! And I love her Ravens neckerchief!

So…should I knit Chloe a wetsuit instead of a sweater? 😉 That chagrined look on her face when she’s in the tub is priceless!

That’s just funny. Good thing it’s so easy to give her a bath on the go. I have to be very careful when we’re out, that the bulldog doesn’t get that messy. Bathing her is like washing a VW bug.
