Meet Cody
September 22, 2010
Meet Cody, our new foster dog.
Chloe performed her clan’s traditional welcome dance for our visitor.
Cody joined us Sunday after Forrest went home. He’s been pretty quiet since he was just diagnosed with kennel cough.
I didn’t know that Cody had kennel cough when I agreed to take him – he was just diagnosed Saturday. Unfortunately he’s stopped eating and now he’s back at the vet for care. I’ll pick him up Friday after work, hopefully feeling much better. Stay tuned for Cody news.

Yikes. Is Chloe coughing yet??? Its supposed to be very contagious. Are you going to start fostering dogs regularly?
I hope Chloe has had her bordetalla vaccine, otherwise she is likely to get it, too. Cody is very cute!! How long will you foster him?
@Debby – I think we’ll foster dogs on and off as long as Chloe seems to enjoy it. It provides her with a playmate (assuming we get healthier dogs in the future – no more kennel cough dogs for me!).
@Dawn – Chloe is up to date on bordatella and I spoke to the vet yesterday about whether I was putting her at risk and how to mitigate that risk. He said that there is only a very small chance that she’ll get it, but if she does start coughing we’ll put her on drugs immediately.
Poor Cody. Where are the foster dogs coming from? A shelter? Poor baby.
Aw, he’s a cutie! Hope he feels better after his trip to the vet (and finds his forever home soon), and that Chloe stays healthy!
Poor thing – I am glad he is under a vet’s care and hope he gets to come back to his foster home soon!
poor little thing! what a lucky puppy to be staying with you guys!!
Wow–foster kids AND foster dogs! Not to mention the blog…You are one busy girl!
