Out Of The Mouths Of Babes
January 29, 2011
Forrest is visiting this weekend. We’ve been watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy. There’s a scene where Theoden the King is released from a spell and he transforms from a feeble elderly man to a healthy middle aged man. From this:

Forrest made this comment:
Look Miss Juice. The king is your age now.
Really Forrest?
Well maybe he’s five or six years older than you.
Um, thanks for that.
I guess that’s the great thing about kids. They keep you humble.

That is SOOOO funny. Thanks for sharing that tidbit. And you should be nominated for sainthood for watching a 17 year old bou so often. I guess you’re old enough to be nominated for sainthood?
That is a true statement! About the kids keeping you humble. Not the one about you being the same age as that younger old guy.
The first year I taught (I was 22) I thought my 27 year old co-worker was so old. Now I think 70 is pretty good! (I’m 58).
Westu hal, Juice!
Yes, kids certainly do keep a body humble. But look at the bright side – at least he didn’t compare you that way with Spellbound Theoden….
Dude… you look younger than me. Next time we get together we’ll have to compare smiley-eye-wrinkles… I bet you anything I’ve got waaaayyyyy more wrinkles than you. 😉
I love it! My 5 year old told me I had a big soft belly!
this was the funniest thing i’ve read in awhile! thanks for the chuckle! just today the barista at starbucks told the guy behind me that as soon as she made the “lady’s” she’d make his. and i was like, “hey, i ain’t no lady!” sheesh! i’m a girl, i don’t care how sexist that sounds! 😉
xo
If he had been watching that movie with me he would have said that when the scene started!!! See what raising two females does to one’s looks!!
teenage boys have no tact, they are really funny, but they have no tact.
