Adoption Event With Blackie

September 11, 2011

Blackie got some one on one time with me as we traveled to Olney, MD for an adoption event with Mutts Matter Rescue.

He made the most of his time in the car.

Yep. That's dog puke on my pants.

Twice.

Once on the way there and once on the way back.  Apparently Blackie is not such a fan of twisty turny roads.

Do you know what is the best thing about dog puke?  It doesn’t smell as bad as human puke.  Thank goodness!  And to his credit Blackie tried very hard to help clean up his mess.  (Gross, I know.  But I was in the car DRIVING with only three Chipotle napkins.  Don’t judge until you’ve driven a mile in my dog-pukey pants.)

The trip was successful in spite of dog puke.

Mutts Matter loaned us a fancy new harness. Blackie struts his stuff at Bark! in Olney.

A family drove up from Virginia just to meet Blackie.  I think (hope!) they fell in love.  Blackie has been with us now for over 3 weeks.  It’s time for him to find his forever after family.

Maybe I should tell them to keep more than three napkins in the car.

Oh Juice! You are such a saint in my eyes! I really hope that Blackie has found his perfect match in the family from VA!

I feel his pain…I get SO carsick (and it’s gotten worse with age instead of better). Hope he’s with his forever family soon.
