Sacramento!

July 2, 2012

Last weekend KK, the kids and I did a quick trip to Sacramento.  I’d never been there before so I reached out to a local Sacramento blogger, Keilah at Sacramento Sidetracks.  I tell you, the blogging community is amazing.  Keilah and I have never met, and yet she responded to my email with some fantastic ideas that made our time in Sac big big big fun!

Ready to go!

The drive to Sac was beautiful – absolutely gorgeous scenery.  The kids really enjoyed it.

Or not.

Finally we arrived and checked into our hotel.  After a short rest it was time for adventure.

Ready to go! (Take 2)

First stop:  Sky High Sports

Those two little blurs were Tank and Cricket.

Stay tuned for a trampoline picture post.  I have some fun shots.

After jumping we all needed some sustenance.  I was delighted to discover that there was a Rubio’s nearby.  KK and I discovered Rubio’s during our girl’s weekend in San Diego.

Yes, I made them take a picture in Rubio’s.

Next stop: Old Town Sacramento

Cricket seems perplexed by her mom.

We walked all through the historic section, shopped in the many toy stores, listened to live music, and watched the trains come and go.

I used instagram on that picture – neat huh?

Next Stop: Fair Oaks Theater Festival

I didn’t take any pictures, but this may have been the highlight of our day.  We all went to see a live production of Willy Wonka in the amphitheater.  KK wasn’t sure if the kids would last through the whole production, but they were spellbound.  Tank entertained us with his version of the show on the way home!

We crashed at the hotel grateful for a day of adventures and fun.  Thank you Sacramento!

Love it! And I don’t know how I’ve missed Rubio’s on all my trips to San Diego but it is now on the list!
