Charm City Chews!

August 30, 2012

The other weekend S (a knitting ninja) and I took a food tour of Baltimore.  Hosted by Charm City Chews, our tour focused on Little Italy and the immediate area.

The knitting ninja and our fearless leader Sharon.

Our first stop was the bocce ball court in Little Italy.  I thought the storage area and benches were too cute.  There are still active bocce leagues in the city.

Gee, wonder why they have that color scheme?

Our next stop featured delicious handmade pasta.  Yum!

Hmm, this didn’t look very Italian…

Psych! It’s an Argentinian empanada (and it’s awesome)

It’s not a true Baltimore tour unless you throw in a little duckpin bowling.

Which gave me an idea…

What? Oh, oops.

Busted*

We ate, drank and bowled our way around our beloved Baltimore.

Full bellies, happy smiles

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

*Editor’s Note:  No duckpins were stolen in the creation of this blog post.

This looks like such fun! There is a food tour of Alexandria that ends just down the street from my store – I’ve always wanted to experience it!

So glad the bowling pin wasn’t really stolen. Wheww! It made a fun addition to the blog though! Thanks for including the link and glad you enjoyed the tour.
