The Gwynns Falls Trail

October 9, 2012

The other day M and I decided to ride part of the Gwynns Falls Trail.  The Gwynns Falls is a relatively new 15 mile bike trail in Baltimore.  Parts of it are beautiful.  Other parts…not so much.

The scenic Gwynns Falls Trail

We rode along the Middle Branch section.

Ah, this is more like it!

Lots of people were fishing in the river.

And we saw some pretty views of the city.

The Hanover Street Bridge

All of a sudden there was trouble in paradise… a flat tire!

Ut oh

Hubby to the rescue!

Dialing for help

A colony of feral kitties kept us entertained while we waited for M’s husband to arrive.

Once safely home I took my bike to the shop to fix the tire.  The culprit?  A tiny shard of glass.

Amazing that something so tiny can cause so much trouble!

Yes, Baltimore is looking pretty good these days! Still moving to Sac? I’m looking for a riding partner to join me on the American River biking path!
